Who Are You?
Your answer is going to be many, many different things. I hope to explore how we define our identities, and how it fits in with how we view ourselves and interact with the communities that we’re a part of. As an Indian Muslim designer who grew up in America, I’ve seen how some of these identities might spill over into each other and fit together. With my work, I hope to acknowledge and celebrate the multifaceted nature of our different identities. My project seeks to not only explore my own story, but also the stories of everyone I’ve collected. Exploring how, in a world that craves simplicity and singularity, we are so many different things, all at the same time.
