Enough
As Margaret Atwood said, “Men are afraid that women will laugh at them. Women are afraid that men will kill them.” Most days seem like normal days with nothing out of the ordinary happening. But that is wishful thinking because every day there are women living a nightmare. Most of the violence against women is committed by an intimate partner. When did we start to become desensitized to this fact and begin to accept it as inevitable? I explored this disturbing fact graphically, as a designer, and through some original writing. Doing so, I realized that as a woman I must also guard myself against becoming desensitized to the plight of so many women. It is my hope that Enough prompts viewers to rethink what they consider ‘normal.’
