Loneliness affects a significant portion of the global population. According to a recent worldwide survey, roughly 33% of adults suffer from feelings of loneliness. Connection is an essential human need that is difficult to define. It involves feeling known, seen, understood, valued, cared for, thought of, and remembered. Sharing our stories is a powerful way to create deep emotional connections with others and to help us understand them and ourselves better. To address the loneliness epidemic, Echoes aims to encourage social interaction, provide opportunities for personal growth, and foster self-reflection. By uniting strangers across different backgrounds and experiences, Echoes seeks to fulfill the human need for meaningful connection and thereby lessen the bleakness that is loneliness.
